My own subjective opinion is that this book rocks. I really like the approach on the subjects in this book, with the Fast Track option. Drew Miller really punctures the most common Security misconceptions, and shows you ways how to handle real life Security situations. This is a great book if you want to understand physical devices and what information that passes through them. Biometric Systems, Defend Monitoring, Detection, and Authentication Devices from manipulation and malicious attacks.
It covers The Enveloping Paradigm, Inhereting Security Problems, Information Security, Mitigating Exposures, Monitoring Software Exposures, Authenticating People, Taking a Hard Look at Hardware, Notifying Systems, Factoring Source code.
